The completion of the EU project for support of persons with disabilities was marked
The final conference of the project “Realization of human rights to social inclusion and equal opportunities for the return of dignity of persons with disabilities” funded by the European Union under the EIDHR program, co-financed by the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and implemented by the association “Safe Life” from Opovo was held on 17.12.2019. in Opovo. The project was implemented during 12 months in partnership with local civil society organizations that advocate for the promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities: UPIK Opovo (Baranda); Association of Paraplegics and Quadriplegics of Southern Banat, Pancevo; S.H.U.P.I.K. “PARAKVAD VŠ”, Vršac and the Association of Paraplegics Banat, Zrenjanin.
Mr. Zoran Tasić, President of the Municipality of Opovo, Mr. Ljubomir Stanisavljev, Deputy Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth of AP Vojvodina, Mr. Mihailo Pajević, President of the Association of Paraplegics and Quadriplegics of Serbia (SPIKS), Mr. Stevan Lukovnjak, President of the Association of Paraplegics and Vojvodinians spoke at the conference , Ana Rajković, project manager, on behalf of “Safe Life”, Sava Lazin on behalf of the partner organization UPIK Opovo Baranda, Dragan Vitorović, project coordinator, on behalf of the partner organization PARAKVAD VŠ from Vršac, Aleksandra Manja, coordinator for Pancevo on behalf of the partner organization Association of Paraplegics and Quadriplegics of the South Banata and Nenad Krbavac, coordinator for Zrenjanin on behalf of the partner organization Association of Paraplegics of Banat. During the conference, the speakers presented the results of the project that exceeded the planned and presented their will and intention to cooperate on future projects, which was confirmed by the signed Memorandum of Future Cooperation.the European Context
