Basic information about the project:
-has been approved as part of a call for large cooperation projects ()
-lasts 4 years (2019-2022)
-19 partner organizations from 15 countries are included
-The main topic is the development of active audience and participation
During the four years of the project, 15 productions were planned. The performances are conceived as international co-productions involving several partner organizations from several EU countries. During the work on each performance, the realization of 3 art residences in different countries is planned.
The theme is free, but it is important that the performances are both authoritative and participative. Participatory means that they include a specific local community context in which artistic residencies are realized, as well as being interactive with the audience.
One of the performances will be produced by SKC Novi Sad. The production of the show is planned for 2020 and in the beginning of 2021, and the prime minister during the spring of 2021 within the program of the European Capital of Culture Novi Sad in 2021.
The procedure for selecting the proposals to be produced within the project is specific. This means that 15 plays will be produced in 15 countries and each partner produces one play. Each partner collects project proposals in his own country and presents them to other partner organizations within joint international meetings occasional in different cities. The choice of the proposal for each performance that will be produced within the project is decided by all partners by voting at joint meetings. The project partners will decide on the selection of the project proposal for the production of SKCNS at a meeting in Kortrijk (Belgium), which is planned for the half of February 2020.
