The Second Theater Festival “Upad” in Novi Sad

Theater Festival “Intrusion”, which was launched last year by the Student Cultural Center Novi Sad with the aim of promoting theatrical art for young people, is held from October 19 to November 1 in Novi Sad and is part of the international EU project “BeSpectActive” ! ”.
“Intrusion” is recognizable by the fact that the selection of plays is made by active young spectators, and this year’s second Festival will be specific because the eight plays chosen by young selectors will be played at several locations in Novi Sad that are thematically related to the plays themselves. In addition to the selection, the creation of the name of the Festival, the young people were entrusted with the role of moderators of conversations with the authors that will be held after each performance.

Thus, the Novi Sad Theater / Újvidéki Színház will host five performances during the last two weeks of October:
Monday, October 19 at 8 pm “Hide somewhere far away. Until death. ”- author’s project by Kristijan Žan Mišel Jalžečić and Doroteja Šušak, produced by Arterarija from Zagreb; Wednesday, October 21 at 8 pm “Indigo” co-produced by the Creative Center CEKOM, the organization, Kulturkick and the Cultural Center Zrenjanin. The text is signed by: Dušan Kalejski and Predrag Karanjac; Thursday, October 22 at 8 pm in the monodrama “Night Writer” by the versatile Belgian artist Jan Fabre, performed by Slobodan Beštić and performed by the National Theater in Belgrade; Monday, October 26 at 8 pm “Negroes or Love as a fellow human being” winner of the 55th Festival of Professional Theaters of Serbia “Joakim Knjaževsko-srpskog teatra” directed by Andjelka Nikolić; Wednesday, October 28 at 8 pm “Dear Dad”, Theater 021, Belgrade, based on the text by Milena Bogavac, and directed by Natasa Radonjic; Friday, October 23 at 7 pm Gymnasium “Laza Kostić” on Telep will host the First Kragujevac Gymnasium with the play “She”.

In the Memorial Collection of Pavle Beljanski, on October 24, the play “Six Portraits of Pavle Beljanski” will be performed in two terms, from 3 and 6 pm and which was realized as part of the “Youth Museum” project, within the program of the European Youth Capital Novi Sad 2019 – OPENS, and with the support of the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture” organized by the Youth Theater “Mousetrap”. Attendance at the show is free, and the audience can reserve seats by calling 021/472 99 66, 528-185.

Also in two terms at the Serbian National Theater on Sunday, November 1, from 6 and 9 pm, the play “What would you give your life for?”, Which was made in co-production with: East West Center, Promena Theater Novi Sad, Bosnian National Theater Zenica, Novi Sad Theater / Újvidéki Színház Novi Sad and in cooperation with the Student Cultural Center Novi Sad and the Center for Youth Novo Sarajevo.

Tickets for the performances can be reserved and purchased at the box office of the theater where the performances are performed, at a price of 500 dinars, and for students and high school students 250 dinars.

SKC Novi Sad, as the organizer of the event, asks visitors to wear protective masks and respect the distance.
