The New Approach to Audience Development Digital Platforms
Audience Data Symposium

December 4the 2022. The European Audience Data Symposium brought together a number of audience data agencies from across Europe in Antwerp in early December at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp. The aim of the symposium was to analyze data access to European colleagues and partners and to provide insight into the current development of communication and digital platforms to increase data and achieve communication between cultural subjects and the public. 
Goals of the meeting:
- Assess the current digital transformation strategies of the cultural sector –in terms of data maturity and organisational change-management at a micro and macro level.
- Review methods and case-studies for measuring citizens cultural engagement across all art-forms.
- Investigate cultural organizations and agencies current capabilities and access to infrastructure that support audience development strategies
- Discuss opportunities and challenges in implementing cross-sector solutions both in terms of IT and organisational models
- Discuss development of standards and benchmarks -facilitating the building of a common language and methodology for audience development strategies
The next meeting of the Audience Alliance will be in Malme in March.
