Earth PR Participates in Conference on Data-Driven Audience Development

Ghent, February 9th, 2024 – Earth PR had the privilege to attend the prestigious “Empowering the Cultural and Creative Sectors in Data-Driven Audience Development” conference from February 7th to 9th, 2024. Hosted under the auspices of the Belgian presidency, this landmark event brought together esteemed colleagues from across Europe, including representatives from Audien Aliace Europe.

Over the course of two enlightening days, delegates immersed themselves in discussions surrounding the digital transformation of the cultural and creative sectors (CCS), with a specific emphasis on leveraging data and digital opportunities. Through the implementation of data-driven strategies, cultural organizations are poised to significantly enhance audience engagement and broaden their reach to previously untapped demographics.

Under the leadership of the Belgian presidency, the conference played a pivotal role in elevating the digital evolution of the cultural sector to the forefront of the European agenda. Assembled in Ghent, participants contributed to the discourse of the Cultural Affairs Council of the European Commission, with Belgium, in its presidency capacity, slated to present the Council’s conclusions on this pressing matter.

Transitioning from the realm of data to tangible public engagement, the conference delved into policy proposals aimed at championing data-driven practices, ethical considerations surrounding data usage, opportunities for bolstering digital infrastructure, fostering international collaboration, and nurturing digital skills within the CCS. Moreover, the agenda featured dynamic discussions on facilitating international knowledge sharing to optimize data utilization in cultural and creative endeavors.

The conference served as an invaluable platform for policymakers, commissioners, experts, academics, and stakeholders from the European Union and its member states to convene, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful partnerships. Through thought-provoking presentations and illuminating case studies, the Belgian presidency endeavored to catalyze a paradigm shift towards greater international cooperation in advancing data-driven initiatives within the cultural and creative sectors.

Earth PR remains committed to driving innovation and fostering collaboration in the dynamic landscape of cultural and creative industries. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and participants of this transformative conference and look forward to continued collaboration in shaping the future of data-driven audience development.
